Apart from our values, Guldkanten’s work is characterized by 2 other priciples. Namely, our science-based and data-driven approaches to coaching and consulting.

On one hand this means that we use scientific research to inform our advice and coaching methods. On the other hand, it means that we are continuously involved in research projects. Read more about the latter below.

Research Projects

Teams and Innovation

Guldkanten’s founder, Lena Gustafsson, has partnered with the Leadership Center at Linneaus University. In this research partnership, they explore the factors which drive the innovative spirit in teams. Through this project they aim to answer questions such as:

  • What makes some teams more innovative than others?

  • How can leaders promote innovation in their teams?

  • What is specific about leadership in small and medium sized compaies?

The State of Play in Coaching in Sweden

The Post-Pandemic Recovery Roadmap

The Post-Pandemic Recovery Roadmap is Guldkanten’s independent research project. Through it we explore the challenges that companies face as they work on recovering from the pandemic.

The aim of the research is to identify the barries and facilitators of post-pandemic organizational recovery. We mainly focus on internal processes and problems which can be addressed with minimum investment, by leveraging existing resources.

For example, we look at:

  • How communication (interpersonal information flow) can be improved and optimized to assist recovery

  • The effect of leadership on recovery

  • The role of the organizational culture in recovery

  • How individual factors such as personality and motivation can be accounted for and leveraged to assist recovery

  • How do the challenges that companies face differ across countries?
